About Susan Rios

Susan never considered a career in art during her adolescent years. After graduating high school Susan took a job as a floral designer. She loved flowers and had an innate ability to arrange flowers of different shapes, colors, textures and sizes into beautiful floral arrangements. It was a job she quickly excelled at and soon found that working with flowers was as second nature to her as breathing.In the early 80's she started doing paintings of women, and then came the pieces that she would soon become world famous for, her interiors with prints and patterns. These were her signature pieces. It was a trend that she started and one that others soon tried to copy.Today, she spends her time painting, doing shows, hanging out with granddaughter Rosie and spending time with her daughter Olivia. She continues to show in all parts of the country and also illustrates books for Harvest House. She has been a major influence in the art world for the past thirty years but of more importance is the positive influence that her life and her artwork have had on all who know her, all who have met her and all who collect and admire her work.
